133 thousand 58 houses were sold in Turkey in April

Housing sales across Turkey increased by 38.8% in April compared to the same month of the previous year and became 133 thousand 58. Istanbul had the highest share in house sales with 26 thousand 330 houses and 19.8%. According to the number of sales, Istanbul was followed by Ankara with 12 thousand 195 house sales and 9.2% share, and İzmir with 8 thousand 459 sales and 6.4% share. The provinces with the lowest number of house sales were Ardahan and Hakkari with 25 houses each, and Bayburt with 47 houses, respectively.

Housing sales in the January-April period increased by 26.2% compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 453 thousand 121.

Mortgage housing sales amounted to 32 thousand 30

Mortgaged house sales across Turkey increased by 82.9% in April compared to the same month of the previous year and became 32 thousand 30. The share of mortgaged sales in total house sales was 24.1%. Mortgaged house sales in the January-April period, on the other hand, increased by 55.1% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 100 thousand 372.

7 thousand 239 of the mortgage sales in April; 25,724 of the mortgaged sales in the January-April period were first hand sales.

As a result of other sales types, 101 thousand 28 houses changed hands.

Other house sales in Turkey increased by 28.9% in April compared to the same month of the previous year and became 101 thousand 28. The share of other sales in total house sales was 75.9%. Other house sales realized in the January-April period, on the other hand, increased by 19.9% ​​compared to the same period of the previous year and became 352 thousand 749.

The number of first-hand house sales in Turkey increased by 24.7% in April compared to the same month of the previous year and became 36 thousand 421. The share of first hand house sales in total house sales was 27.4%. In the January-April period, the first hand house sales increased by 19.4% compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 130 thousand 858.

96 thousand 637 houses changed hands in second-hand house sales

Second-hand house sales across Turkey increased by 45.0% in April compared to the same month of the previous year and became 96 thousand 637. The share of second-hand house sales in total house sales was 72.6%. Second-hand house sales in the January-April period increased by 29.3% compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 322 thousand 263.

6 thousand 447 residences were sold to foreigners in April

Housing sales to foreigners increased by 58.1% in April compared to the same month of the previous year and became 6 thousand 447. In April, the share of house sales to foreigners in total house sales was 4.8%. Istanbul took the first place in house sales to foreigners with the sale of 2 thousand 564 houses. Antalya was followed by Antalya with 1,970 house sales, and Ankara with 333 house sales, respectively.

In the January-April period, house sales to foreigners increased by 48.9% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 20 thousand 791.

According to the nationality of the country, the most house sales were made to the citizens of the Russian Federation.

In April, citizens of the Russian Federation bought 1,152 houses from Turkey. Citizens of the Russian Federation were followed by Iran with 905 residences and Iraqi citizens with 714 residences, respectively.
